Who makes fire detection & suppression for AI data centers

Covers early-warning detection (6.09a), including aspirating smoke detection that can sense a fault before visible smoke appears, and suppression hardware (6.09b) that discharges an extinguishing agent (6.09c) into a data hall or electrical room without damaging electronics — which rules out water-based suppression in the white space in favor of clean gaseous or inert-gas agents. The agent side of this category has been in flux: 3M's Novec 1230 clean agent was discontinued at the end of 2025, pushing suppression-system designers toward alternative fluorinated agents or inert-gas systems for new builds and retrofits. Liquid cooling adds electrical and coolant-leak risk in new places — manifolds, CDUs — that detection and suppression design has to account for alongside the traditional IT-rack and electrical-room risk. Investors should watch which agent chemistry backfills the Novec gap and how much of that transition flows through to system redesigns rather than like-for-like agent swaps.
