Who makes agents for AI data centers

The agent is what actually goes into the room. Two families are in use: clean fluorinated agents, which absorb heat and are stored as liquid so a modest number of cylinders protect a large volume, and inert gases such as nitrogen and argon, which work by displacing oxygen and are stored as compressed gas, requiring far more cylinder space for the same room. Regulatory pressure on fluorinated chemistry more broadly points the same way. The practical consequence for an operator is that a suppression system designed around a specific agent may outlive the supply of that agent, and refilling after a discharge is the moment that problem becomes concrete. That makes agent choice a long-horizon decision rather than a commodity one, and it is the reason inert gas is being specified more often despite needing more space and heavier structural provision for cylinders. What to look for is which agent a system is built for, whether the supplier has committed to producing it over the facility's life, and what the conversion path is — the cylinders, pipework and nozzle design are agent-specific, so switching later is a system replacement rather than a refill.
