Who makes floor pdus, rpps, static transfer switches, ats for AI data centers

Floor-mounted power distribution units, remote power panels, and the static and automatic transfer switches that route power between utility, UPS, and generator sources down to the rack level.

Floor PDUs and RPPs are the last stage of building-level distribution before power reaches busway or in-rack distribution, stepping down and metering power for a zone of racks. Static transfer switches (STS) and automatic transfer switches (ATS) sit alongside them to switch a load between sources — typically utility and UPS-backed paths, or normal and generator power — without an interruption the IT equipment would notice, which is what lets a facility carry dual, concurrently maintainable power paths. As rack power draw rises, floor PDUs and RPPs are being specified at higher ampacity, and the distance between a PDU and the racks it serves is shrinking, because running high current over long low-voltage cable runs loses more power as heat than moving that distribution closer to the load. This equipment overlaps with UPS and generator suppliers (7.10, 7.13), since transfer switching logic has to be engineered together with those systems rather than sourced independently. For investors, useful signals are how fast vendors are qualifying higher-ampacity PDU and STS product lines for AI-density halls, and whether facilities are standardizing on fewer, larger PDUs per zone versus more numerous smaller units, which changes the addressable unit count per campus.

AI delta: Higher rack power draw is pushing floor PDU and RPP ratings up and shortening the distance these units sit from the rack, since longer low-voltage runs at high current become less efficient.
