Who makes doors and hardware for AI data centers

Doors are where the building's security policy meets its physical construction. Personnel doors, equipment doors sized to bring racks in, fire-rated assemblies between compartments, and the frames, closers, locks and electrified hardware that go with them — all of it specified together because the door, frame and hardware have to be listed as an assembly to carry a fire rating. What makes this more than a hardware purchase in a data center is that the doors are the enforcement points for the access control described in the sibling security part, and the two are frequently designed by different parties. The credential reader, the electric lock, the request-to-exit device, the door position switch and the fire alarm interface all have to work together, and the failure mode has to be right: a door that fails locked in a fire is a life-safety problem, and one that fails unlocked on power loss is a security problem. Equipment access has also changed with rack weight and size — a liquid-cooled cabinet needs a wider path and a floor route that can carry it from the dock to the hall. What to look for is whether door hardware and access control were coordinated in design or reconciled on site, the fail-safe behaviour of each opening, and whether the equipment route was verified against the racks actually being installed.
