Who makes timing, security & misc board silicon for AI data centers

This part covers the supporting silicon that doesn't fit neatly into the compute, power or connector categories: precision timing and clock-generation chips that keep high-speed interconnect and memory interfaces synchronized, trusted-platform-module security silicon, and the boot flash that stores firmware for the BMC (4.10) and other on-board controllers. None of these individually consume much board area or power, but each is a required, qualified part of the bill of materials on every board built. AI boards raise the bar on the timing piece specifically, since the higher signaling rates used by scale-up and scale-out interconnect (layer 3) need tighter clock jitter and synchronization tolerances than lower-speed server interfaces required. For investors, this is a diversified, lower-visibility tier — no single company dominates the way it does in BMC silicon — where the more relevant question is less about market share and more about which suppliers get designed into the reference platforms that ODMs build from, since that tends to carry forward across several board generations.
