Who makes piping for AI data centers

Piping is the loop. It runs between the chiller plant, the heat-rejection equipment outside, and the CRAH coils and CDU connections in the hall, and once it is in the building it is effectively permanent — the pipework outlives the equipment at both ends of it, often by more than one refresh cycle. The live question in this part is material and joining method. Steel welded in place is the traditional approach and the slowest; grooved mechanical couplings assemble far faster and can be taken apart, which matters on a schedule where the mechanical fit-out is on the critical path; polypropylene systems are lighter and do not corrode, which removes one of the ongoing water-chemistry problems entirely. Each trades installation speed, cost, and long-term maintenance differently. AI construction has made the schedule argument sharper, because sites are being built to a delivery date set by hardware availability rather than by the building. Prefabricated pipe assemblies and mechanical joining are the response. What to look for is corrosion behaviour in combination with the fluid treatment in Layer 5 — mixed-metal loops are where inhibitor programmes earn their cost — and whether the site was piped with enough isolation and future capacity, since adding a branch to a live loop is far harder than allowing for one.
