Who makes storage tanks for AI data centers

Water storage on site does two separate jobs and the tanks are often sized by the second one. The cooling system needs makeup water buffered against interruptions in supply, and the fire protection system needs a dedicated volume held in reserve — a requirement set by code and by insurers rather than by operations, and frequently the larger of the two. The continuity job matters more as sites get larger and as they are built in places where the municipal supply is not generously sized for them. A campus that loses water supply loses evaporative cooling capacity within hours, so stored volume is a ride-through in the same way that stored fuel is for generation, and it is sized against the same question: how long until supply is restored, and what does the site do in the meantime. The fire reserve is non-negotiable and cannot be borrowed from — a tank shared between fire and process water needs the fire volume protected by design, usually by drawing process water from above the reserve level. What to look for is that separation, the material and code compliance of the tank, and whether stored volume matches the cooling design's actual consumption rather than a nominal figure. The suppliers here are tank fabricators serving industry generally, not data center specialists.
