Who makes inverters for AI data centers

An inverter turns the direct current a solar array or battery produces into alternating current the grid accepts. It also does the harder job: meeting the interconnection requirements that let the project connect at all — riding through voltage and frequency disturbances, supplying or absorbing reactive power, and increasingly forming grid voltage rather than merely following it. That second job has become the substance of the product. As more generation on a system is inverter-based, the system loses the physical inertia that spinning machines used to provide, and grid operators have responded by requiring behaviour from inverters that older units were never designed for. A project's ability to connect can hinge on whether its inverters meet the current grid code, and codes have been tightening. Inverters are also the most-replaced component in a solar plant. Panels degrade slowly and predictably; inverters contain switching devices, capacitors and cooling that wear, and are typically serviced or replaced within the project's life. What to look for is grid- code compliance in the specific market, the service and warranty arrangement, and where the supplier sits geographically — several large suppliers face trade and security restrictions in some markets, which is a procurement constraint rather than a technical one.
