Who makes MPO for AI data centers

An MPO or MTP connector carries many fibres in one ferrule, which is how a data center gets a switch port group or a whole trunk into a single plug. The ferrule is the precision part: a moulded body with holes positioned tightly enough that every fibre in the array lands on its opposite number when two connectors mate. The tolerance is what the product is. This part sits in the structured cabling plant rather than in the equipment, but it determines what the equipment can do. A high-radix AI fabric fans out an enormous number of fibre pairs, and pulling them as individual duplex links does not scale physically or operationally — multi-fibre trunks and cassettes are how the cable plant stays manageable. Polarity and polish type have to be planned across the whole installation, because a mismatch shows up as a link that will not come up after everything is already installed. AI buildouts have concentrated demand for the higher fibre counts, and for the low-loss grades that leave enough optical budget for several mated pairs in a run. What to look for is the ferrule supply itself: a small number of makers supply ferrules to a much larger number of connector and cable assembly brands, so the same precision component sits behind many nameplates. Loss grade and fibre count are the specification lines that matter.
