 "description_md": "LV cable and wire carry power the last distance from switchgear, transformers, and PDUs (7.04, 7.05, 7.07) to busway or directly to racks, run through tray and raceway systems that physically support and organize the cable overhead or underfloor. As rack power draw rises, the cable gauge needed to carry that current at low voltage loss increases, and heavier cable in turn needs more robust, higher-capacity tray to support it, which is part of why busway (7.06) has become a competing option for some in-hall runs. Cable is a copper- and, increasingly given cost pressure, aluminum-intensive product, and data center buildout is only one of several sources of demand pulling on the same copper supply chain, alongside grid transmission buildout and vehicle and building electrification more broadly. Tray and raceway manufacturing is comparatively less capacity-constrained but still scales with the sheer volume of hall square footage being built. For investors, relevant signals include copper price and availability trends, lead times quoted by cable manufacturers for data-center-grade product, and how much of a given campus's in-hall distribution is shifting from cable and tray to busway, which changes the mix of demand between these two supplier groups rather than the total.",
