 "description_md": "These are the working parts inside the CDU housing described in 5.05: the plate heat exchanger transfers heat from the technology-side loop to the facility water loop without mixing the two fluids, pumps circulate coolant through the cold plates and back, and filters keep particulates out of the narrow channels in the cold plates and manifolds upstream. Pump and heat-exchanger sizing scales with the CDU's rated capacity, from in-rack units up to facility-class systems, and redundancy (multiple pumps, N+1 configurations) is a common design response to the fact that a pump failure can take an entire loop offline. Some of these component makers also supply plate heat exchangers and pumps into the facility water loop in Layer 6, so the same vendors can appear on both sides of the chiller-to-chip chain. Investors should watch pump reliability and redundancy design as CDU capacity rises, and whether component vendors are captured by CDU integrators or continue to sell into the broader market.",
